Privacy preferences
Control how Common Area's behavioral analytics treats your visit. Changes apply per-domain — toggling off here disables analytics on commonarea.io; each product site has its own preferences page for the same control on that site.
This site (commonarea.io)
Behavioral analytics on commonarea.io:
Toggling OFF sets a cmp_optout=1 cookie on commonarea.io
that our tracking script checks before doing anything. The cookie
persists for two years. Clearing your browser's cookies will reset
this preference.
Other Common Area products
Cookies are first-party per domain — we can't set them across sites. To opt out on each product's site, visit its own privacy preferences page:
- GateKeeper: gatekeeperhoa.com/privacy-preferences →
- Ask Hans: askhans.ai/privacy-preferences →
You can also enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings, which disables Compass everywhere it runs — no per-site action needed.
Delete all my data
Email
dougcalahan@commonarea.io
with the subject "Privacy data deletion request" and we'll remove
all Compass data associated with your identity within 30 days. If
you can include your cmp_vid value (visible in your
browser's cookie storage for the relevant Common Area product
domain), we can also clean up orphaned anonymous sessions.
